About this role
Do you have the desire to work in a fast paced and busy environment? As an Office Host you will support and collaborate with the Staff Services Coordinator to enthusiastically and cohesively deliver a range of front of house and office services to staff and visitors. These services play a pivotal role in setting the tone for all those who visit and work in the office. This role sits within our Sydney Office Services team where you will have the opportunity to create high level, strategic relationships in the Sydney office and across the Arup Australasian region.
What will I do?
- Welcome clients and other visitors, determining their needs and ensuring these are met in an efficient and friendly manner, in accordance with Arup's brand;
- Deliver a range of business lounge services, including liquid refreshments, provision of reading material, assistance connecting to the guest wi-fi and charging stations, guidance to the toilets, holding of coats / umbrellas and local transport information;
- Process requests for catering orders and gifts on demand (ie flowers) from order placement to room setup/delivery, actively monitoring order progress and updating staff as appropriate;
- Monitor meeting room calendars and ensure that key rooms are reset and maintained to established standards, calling on assistance as required;
- Maintain up to date knowledge of gallery exhibitions, confidently talking to clients and other visitors about the content and purpose of this space
What will I bring?
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Client / customer service experience / experience operating a busy office or front of house area.
- Efficient organiser, e.g., project documentation, design calcs, arrangements for tasks and events.
- Balances demands, copes well with interruptions and disturbances, and switches between tasks effectively.
- Involves all members of the team in delivering the objective, professionals, and support staff.
