The Opportunity
Primary Purpose
Working for the Data Portfolio Lead this transformational role will take the lead in the delivery data and data projects out of the Greece development hub. Responsible for the development and delivery of data into the Azure SQL Data Warehouse, this role must combine the technical capability to analyse and understand the data in the Azure Data Lake Store and define the logic and processes to transform this into the business facing Azure SQL Data Warehouse. Excellent communication is essential to lead both Business and Technical stakeholders through this Strategic change.
The position is a role within the Chubb International Data team that is responsible for Data management and Information delivery across CHUBB globally. The team is governed and managed by strong Finance, Operations and IT stakeholders with vested interest in the company’s core values. The adoption of the Azure platform aligns with the Global IT strategies on Digital Transformation and Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
This is a key and challenging role which requires sound understanding and experience of Data Warehousing and the Azure platform. The role is central to the team and requires individuals to think laterally and understand intricacies between source systems and data that bring them together. The role requires experience of working directly with internal SME’s both business and technical and delivery through outsourced delivery teams.
The key responsibilities of the Delivery lead are detailed below.
- Understand the data and information requirements of BI stakeholders that make Chubb a data driven organisation
- Manage delivery across multiple programs and projects delivering to an overall Data Strategy
- Manage resourcing, prioritisation and internal stakeholders on a nearshore, insourced development hub
- Actively work on project delivery and solutioning to ensure project success is a foundation
- Provide technical leadership in the use of Microsoft Azure platform for Business Intelligence
- Define and implement best practices for BI Data on the Azure platform including advanced performance optimisation
- Support IT and Business leadership to deliver the Data Strategy
