The Key Account Manager plays a critical role in understanding customers’ needs and building long-term relationships focused on generating win-win collaborative opportunities. Successful account managers needs to demonstrate an understanding of the general ecosystem along with account strategies and dynamics, leadership skills, advanced business acumen, strategic thinking and emotional intelligence capabilities to build trust, add value and secure access to our Company medications ensuring we achieve our mission of saving and improving patient lives.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for formulary inclusion process within various healthcare institutions
Understand the ecosystem, funding and resource allocation by different payers, account vision along with the competitive landscape
Shape and influence formulary processes via mapping, understanding the needs of various key stakeholder and opinion leaders, delivering our Company´s product value proposition and collaborating to achieve access to medication
Operate as a consultant for difference functions providing input for tendering and customer service dept, sharing the voice of the customer to shape marketing strategies and data to help the sales team optimize performance
Form and lead a cross functional team towards achieving our Company´s objectives in the key accounts
Understand and communicate internally & externally on supply management related issues and follow up to ensure products availability
Explore partnership initiative with assigned accounts to develop and implement different programs to support medication access to patients
For the private sector to operate as a liaison between the accounts, distributor and relevant internal stakeholders, to secure needed approvals to ensure compliant and optimal implementation as well as provide input to guide the sales team.
Competencies and Leadership skills:
Excellent command of English and Arabic
3-5 years in the pharmaceutical industry
University education degree BS/BA, Master degree is a plus
Experience in the institutional business and interaction with high level scientific leaders is required
Market Access experience is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Result orientation and ability to work under pressure
Strong business acumen
