We are looking for an experienced Electron Microscopy

Field Service Engineer

to represent ZEISS Research Microscopy Solutions (RMS) in Finland. You will be a part of a Nordic organization within Research Microscopy Solutions (RMS) with over 30 professionals covering Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Areas of responsibility and goals:

  • Install, upgrade, repair and perform preventative maintenance on ZEISS electron microscopy instruments in Finland.
  • Provide general troubleshooting and remote support.
  • Build and maintaining long-term customer relationships and achieving maximum customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Arrange and perform basic to advance application training at customer sites.
  • Manage your daily tasks in the CRM system and in MobileX.
  • Promote ZEISS products, solutions and services.

What we hope from you:

  • Technical background with relevant academic education (electronics, physics, material science etc.) or relevant work experience.
  • This is a customer-facing role and therefore strong interpersonal skills is required.
  • Work experience from a similar position (preferably optics or electronics with technical focus).
  • Understanding and experience of troubleshooting techniques and approaches.
  • Organized and self-driven way of working.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Finnish skills are considered as advantage).
  • Business oriented mindset, sales attitude is a plus.
  • Preferably located in the greater Helsinki area.

The position can require over 70 overnight stays per year. In the first two years, you will participate in residential training courses at our training centers in Germany and the United Kingdom. A valid EU driver's license and EU passport or permanent EU work permit is a must to ensure the ability to travel freely in the designated regions, often on short notice to customer sites to resolve problems.
