As a Quantity Surveyor, your primary responsibility is to manage and control all costs associated with construction projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of the project by providing accurate cost estimates, conducting cost analysis, monitoring project expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures. Your expertise in quantity surveying will contribute to the overall efficiency and profitability of the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural plans, specifications, and project scope. This includes analyzing materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required.
2. Cost Control: Monitor and manage project costs throughout all stages of construction, ensuring adherence to budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors, and recommend cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
3. Quantity Takeoff: Perform quantity takeoffs and measurements from architectural drawings and specifications to determine the quantities of materials required for construction. Maintain updated records of quantities and assist in procurement activities.
4. Contract Administration: Review and analyze construction contracts, identifying contractual obligations, terms, and conditions. Assist in the preparation and evaluation of contract documents, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
5. Cost Reporting: Prepare regular cost reports, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections for project stakeholders. Provide timely and accurate information on project costs, variations, and potential risks to facilitate decision-making.
6. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to quantity surveying, procurement, and cost management. Stay updated on industry developments and technological advancements in the field.
Qualifications and Skills:
-Egyptian Nationality .
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects, preferably in diverse sectors such as residential, commercial, or infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation methods, and construction contracts.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard quantity surveying software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Awareness of sustainability principles and their application in construction projects.
