About Us

Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 5 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional laboratories located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey, and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There is currently 18 collection locations based within the hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services.

About the Role

As a Laboratory Assistant/clerical, you will be responsible for specimen preparation under supervision, data entry into the laboratory information system, and the maintenance of the laboratory's cleanliness and functionality. Deliver printed reports, respond to phone calls, and assist with general data management and billing procedures. You will be part of a 24-hour roster that rotates to other Monash locations as needed. Health and Safety is essential requirements of the position in order to protect yourself and others. All personnel are required to wear approved safety glasses in conjunction with other personal protective equipment (provided by Monash health)

What You Need to Know

We are seeking several reliable and flexible persons who enjoy working in a team environment with minimal supervision. You will have advanced keyboard and data entry skills with high levels of accuracy and will be required to help in the preparation of specimens for analysis. Shifts are rostered to cover a 24/7 service which includes night shift and weekends across all sites.
