Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Specialist to join our organization. As a Senior IT Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all technology systems, and providing expert technical assistance to our staff. You will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our IT environment, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing innovative solutions to meet our evolving business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, systems, and software applications.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware -and software components, ensuring their optimal performance and security.
- Oversee troubleshooting and resolving of hardware and software issues.
- Oversee maintaining and upgrading networks and servers.
- Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Create and maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, promptly addressing their IT-related issues and inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology requirements and propose effective solutions to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and system reliability.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and software applications to enhance IT capabilities and meet business objectives.
- Lead IT projects from inception to completion, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery within allocated budgets.
- Conduct regular backups and participate in business continuity initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and proactively apply knowledge to optimize IT infrastructure and operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven 7-10 years experience as a Senior IT Specialist or in a similar technical role, with a track record of successfully managing IT infrastructure and supporting end-users.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software systems.
- Customer management and exceptional leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Knowledge of network protocols and security standards.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
