Read, understand, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wire diagrams, 1-line and 3-line diagrams. Manage general shop material and maintain adequate stock. Maintain neat work environment. Manage project specific material in an organized and neat fashion.

Key Performance Arears
- To provide and maintain your toolbox in accordance with the Panel Workshop Tool Policy.
- To use tools only for their intended purpose and with due care for both the tool and the finished product.
- To complete time sheets to be handed in at the end of every day for capturing.
- To check and manage all materials issued to you for any specific job.
- To book out any company tools required for the job and return them at the end of every week or when finished with them for any job.
- To report any exceptions to your supervisor.
- To return all unused parts at the end of each job.
- To mark out, drill, tap, punch and jigsaw enclosures, chassis plates and related parts.
- To obtain signed approval for layouts and when producing large quantities, to assemble one first for approval before drilling and / or assembling the rest.
- To assemble and wire electrical control panels and distribution boards.
- All lugs to pass the tug test and all terminals to be tight.
- Housekeeping.
- To tidy your workstation and surrounds.
- To empty bins and clean common areas as a team or as part of a roster.
- To return floor stocks of wire, lugs, screws etc.to their correct bin and not create mixed bins.
- General assistance within the Panel Workshop as and when required.
- Completion of a wireman apprenticeship
- Attention to detail and safety

- At least one year of experience in electrical wiring
- Matric
