Job Description


We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Sample Reception Officer based in Notting Hill, to ensure all jobs are unpacked, sorted and logged into the information management system in a timely manner. Liaise with clients to ensure satisfactory customer focussed services are provided.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Unpack and sort samples in a timely manner.
  • Ensure samples are identified, labelled and stored correctly.
  • Register samples using the laboratory information management system.
  • Ensure all samples are free of contaminations during log-in and sub-sampling process.
  • Resolve inconsistencies with incoming samples.
  • Providing assistance to the Sample Reception & CS Manager by generating worksheets and/or cross-checking entries.
  • Ensure all samples are being subcontracted correctly.
  • Assist clients with logistics issues.
  • Perform field sampling and sample disposals as required.
  • Follow up, monitor and report on all pending activities to the customer.
  • Listen to and anticipate the client’s needs and pains to offer the most suitable solution.
  • Identify, act upon and follow up client reported issues and inform the sales, operations as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Sample Reception & CS Manager. .

Qualifications
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification
  • Commercial laboratory experience preferred
  • Experience in reception in a laboratory environment
  • Experience with register logs and data and records management
  • Able to perform manual handling
