OMS Administrator


 

The UCLA School of Dentistry seeks an experienced, self-directed Administrator for the clinical operations of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) service. As the OMS Administrator, the incumbent provides administrative and financial oversight of the OMS Clinic and Service. Incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and controlling all financial, operational and administrative functions of the OMS service. Responsibilities include front office and billing oversight; daily management of accounts payable, reconciliation of monthly ledgers, processing purchase orders; and LVO's. Additional duties include processing invoices for payment and processing patient and insurance refunds. Provide and/or prepare budget reports as needed. The incumbent should have experience/knowledge in insurance billing, coding, and collections.

Demonstrated knowledge of Oral Surgery terminology, procedures and surgeries.

Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting principles to reconcile monthly general and payroll ledgers.

Skill in planning and preparing an annual budget and related monthly and quarterly reports.

Demonstrated skill in using electronic and legacy scheduling and patient record management systems and processes.

Demonstrated skill in using GSD and CareConnect scheduling systems.

Demonstrated understanding of revenue cycle and charge capture.

Demonstrated financial skill to correctly analyze and reconcile General Ledgers monthly, noting and analyzing inconsistencies and making proper corrections.

Demonstrated skill in financial analysis and budget planning to create timely and accurate financial reports, including projection of expenses and income, with reports detailed per University accounting systems.

Demonstrated skill in organizing and coordinating financial data, and preparing financial analyses in order to produce meaningful financial reports.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) for the purpose of generating correspondence and various reports such as production reports, faculty account reports, accounts receivable and accounts payable reports and other clinic and inventory accounts.

Demonstrated experience in University online purchasing (BruinBuy) system to request low value orders, purchase orders and issue refunds to patients.
