This position serves as a compliance specialist in the Bureau of Air Quality Air Toxics Section, performing highly professional and technical duties in the statewide implementation of air toxics regulations.
Job Duties:

Research National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) and the Risk Management Plan (RMP) rule

Review NESHAP reports, notifications, plans, and requests to evaluate compliance

Perform RMP reviews, RMP inspections, and accidental release investigations to evaluate compliance

Assist regional personnel with NESHAP inspections by providing checklists/templates or participating in the inspections

Assist in the review of Title V Annual Compliance Certifications (TVACC) containing NESHAP and RMP program conditions
- Provide technical assistance and conducts training for the Bureau of Air Quality and regional staff, industry, consultants, and the public concerning NESHAPs and the RMP rule
A high school diploma and experience in environmental health programs or radiological health.
A bachelor's degree in the natural or physical sciences, mathematics, public health, engineering or a related technical field may be substituted for the required work experience.
Institutions of higher learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
